From plain glass to camera fittings across the GWM range

GWM windscreens range from plain glass to glass with a bracket for a forward camera behind the mirror. We use your registration or VIN to confirm the right part before our technician arrives, including any fitted rain sensor or specified acoustic or solar glass.

If you are after GWM windscreen repair, we can often fix a small chip instead of replacing the glass. We assess the damage and tell you which service suits your windscreen.

Our checks for your GWM windscreen

We check these four details before arranging your replacement.

  • Glass variant

We check whether your GWM needs a camera bracket, rain-sensor provision or a specified acoustic or solar glass variant.

  • Camera and sensor fitment

We check the equipment behind your mirror and plan ADAS recalibration with the replacement if your vehicle requires it.

  • Safety-glazing compliance

We check that the GWM glass meets safety-glazing requirements.

  • Booking details

We confirm your rego or VIN, where the vehicle is and a day and time that suits you.

When a GWM windscreen needs ADAS recalibration

A forward ADAS camera sits behind the mirror on the Cannon, Cannon Alpha, Tank 300, Tank 500 and Ora. After we replace a windscreen with a mounted camera, recalibration may be needed to align its view of the road. We confirm the requirement for your model and build.

Static calibration uses a stationary vehicle and set targets. Dynamic calibration checks the camera while the vehicle is driven. We plan the method your GWM requires as part of the replacement.

STEP BY STEP

How a GWM windscreen replacement works

Broken glass on a car seat before clean-up
STEP 1 of 5

We remove any broken glass with care

If a shattered screen has left glass inside your GWM, our technicians vacuum it out and protect the seats and trim before any work starts.

Technicians removing a damaged car windscreen
STEP 2 of 5

We remove the damaged windscreen

Modern tools lift the old glass out without damaging paint or interior trim.

If a toll tag is fitted to the old windscreen, we transfer it to the new one.

Technician removing the old rubber seals from a car
STEP 3 of 5

New rubber seals every time

The old seals come off and new ones go on with every replacement, so the new windscreen is sealed against water, dust and wind noise.

STEP 4 of 5

Urethane applied to the new glass

A high-quality urethane bond is applied so the windscreen sits exactly as the factory intended. We tell you when your GWM is safe to drive.

Fitted, checked and calibrated

The new windscreen is fitted and checked, and any camera behind the mirror is recalibrated where your GWM needs it.

All glass we fit complies with the Australian Vehicle Standard for Safety Glazing.

GWM glass choices and fitting cover

The replacement glass for your GWM must suit its fitted features, including a camera behind the mirror where present. Genuine glass is supplied as a GWM part. OEM-equivalent aftermarket glass comes from another supplier and is selected to suit your vehicle.

You can ask us to quote genuine glass. All glass we fit complies with the Australian Vehicle Standard for safety glazing. Our fitting is covered by a lifetime workmanship warranty.

Insurance claims

Claiming your GWM windscreen on insurance
