How Holden windscreens differ

Holden windscreens range from plain glass to glass with a rain-sensor fitting or a bracket for the Holden Eye ADAS camera. We use your registration or VIN to check which fittings your Holden has, then select the replacement glass before our technician visits.

If you are after Holden windscreen repair, we can often fix a small chip instead of replacing the windscreen. Tell us about the damage when you request a quote.

Four Holden windscreen checks before we visit

We check the glass, fitted equipment and visit details before your replacement.

  • Glass variant

We check your Holden for a rain-sensor fitting or camera bracket, and for any specified acoustic or solar glass.

  • Camera and sensor fitment

We identify the camera and sensors fitted to your vehicle and plan ADAS recalibration with the replacement when required.

  • Safety-glazing compliance

We check that your replacement glass meets safety-glazing requirements.

  • Booking details

We confirm your rego or VIN, where the Holden is and a day and time that suits you.

Holden models

Holden models and their windscreen options

We check your vehicle details before booking because fittings can vary even within a model. That helps us bring the glass your Holden needs.

  • Holden Commodore

Commodore windscreens may need a rain sensor, forward-camera bracket or glass suited to a head-up display.

  • Holden Colorado

Colorado windscreens range from plain glass to glass with a bracket for a forward camera.

  • Holden Cruze

Cruze windscreens are usually plain glass, though some grades have a rain sensor.

  • Holden Captiva

Captiva windscreens are usually plain glass, with a rain sensor on some grades.

  • Holden Astra

Astra windscreens range from plain glass to glass with a forward-camera bracket behind the mirror.

  • Holden Trax

Trax windscreens are usually plain glass.

  • Holden Barina

Barina windscreens are usually plain glass without camera or sensor fittings.

  • Another Holden model?

We confirm the glass for any Holden from the rego or VIN.

Holden Eye cameras and ADAS recalibration

Holden Eye is Holden’s camera system. Some later Commodore, Colorado and Astra builds have a forward camera behind the mirror. Replacing the windscreen can change the camera’s view, so we check whether your vehicle needs ADAS recalibration after fitting.

Static calibration checks the camera against stationary targets. Dynamic calibration checks it during a drive under set conditions. We confirm the requirement and method for your model and build, then plan it with the replacement.

STEP BY STEP

How a Holden windscreen replacement works

Broken glass on a car seat before clean-up
STEP 1 of 5

We remove any broken glass with care

If a shattered screen has left glass inside your Holden, our technicians vacuum it out and protect the seats and trim before any work starts.

Technicians removing a damaged car windscreen
STEP 2 of 5

We remove the damaged windscreen

Modern tools lift the old glass out without damaging paint or interior trim.

If a toll tag is fitted to the old windscreen, we transfer it to the new one.

Technician removing the old rubber seals from a car
STEP 3 of 5

New rubber seals every time

The old seals come off and new ones go on with every replacement, so the new windscreen is sealed against water, dust and wind noise.

Technician applying urethane to a car windscreen aperture
STEP 4 of 5

Urethane applied to the new glass

A high-quality urethane bond is applied so the windscreen sits exactly as the factory intended. We tell you when your Holden is safe to drive.

Fitted, checked and calibrated

The new windscreen is fitted and checked, and any camera behind the mirror is recalibrated where your Holden needs it.

All glass we fit complies with the Australian Vehicle Standard for Safety Glazing.

Glass choices for your Holden windscreen

Across the Holden range, some windscreens are plain, while others need fittings for a rain sensor or forward camera. Some also need glass suited to a head-up display. Genuine Holden glass is supplied as a Holden part. OEM-equivalent aftermarket glass is an alternative made to suit the required fittings.

If you prefer genuine glass for your Holden, ask us to include it in your quote. All glass we fit complies with the Australian Vehicle Standard for safety glazing. Our fitting is covered by a lifetime workmanship warranty.

A Holden windscreen visit that suits your vehicle

Our mobile Sydney-wide service brings Holden windscreen replacement to your home, workplace or roadside. We can come to you whether you drive a ute, SUV or small car.
