Why Jeep windscreens need a closer look

Across the Jeep range, windscreen shape and the fittings behind the mirror vary. Some vehicles have plain glass; others have a rain sensor or a forward ADAS camera. We use your registration or VIN to match the glass and camera bracket before our technician arrives.

If you need Jeep windscreen repair for a small chip, we can often fix it instead of replacing the windscreen. If the glass needs replacing, we’ll quote for the part that suits your Jeep.

Jeep windscreen checks, from glass to booking

We settle these details before your replacement visit.

  • Glass variant

We check your Jeep for a rain-sensor fitting, a camera bracket and any specified acoustic or solar glass.

  • Camera and sensors

We confirm what is fitted behind the mirror and whether ADAS camera recalibration needs to be planned with your replacement.

  • Safety glazing

We check that your replacement glass meets safety-glazing requirements.

  • Booking details

We record your rego or VIN, where your Jeep is parked, and the day and time you choose for the visit.

Jeep models

Jeep windscreens across the lineup

We check your vehicle details before booking because the models below have different windscreen shapes and equipment.

  • Jeep Grand Cherokee

Recent builds have a forward camera and rain sensor; earlier builds commonly have a rain sensor only.

  • Jeep Wrangler

Its upright, near-flat windscreen has its own frame; recent builds have a forward camera.

  • Jeep Compass

Recent builds have a forward camera behind the mirror.

  • Jeep Cherokee

Later builds have a forward camera; earlier builds commonly use plain glass.

  • Jeep Gladiator

Its upright, near-flat windscreen and frame are shared with the Wrangler.

  • Jeep Renegade

Some builds have a forward camera behind the mirror.

  • Another Jeep model?

We confirm the glass for any Jeep from the rego or VIN.

Jeep ADAS cameras after windscreen replacement

Recent Jeep builds, including the Grand Cherokee, Wrangler, Compass and Cherokee, can have a forward ADAS camera behind the mirror. Replacing the windscreen changes the glass in front of that camera, so we check whether your specific model and build needs recalibration.

Static calibration is done with the vehicle stationary. Dynamic calibration uses a drive to set the camera. We confirm which method applies to your Jeep and plan the replacement accordingly.

STEP BY STEP

How a Jeep windscreen replacement works

Broken glass on a car seat before clean-up
STEP 1 of 5

We remove any broken glass with care

If a shattered screen has left glass inside your Jeep, our technicians vacuum it out and protect the seats and trim before any work starts.

STEP 2 of 5

We remove the damaged windscreen

Modern tools lift the old glass out without damaging paint or interior trim.

If a toll tag is fitted to the old windscreen, we transfer it to the new one.

Technician removing the old rubber seals from a car
STEP 3 of 5

New rubber seals every time

The old seals come off and new ones go on with every replacement, so the new windscreen is sealed against water, dust and wind noise.

STEP 4 of 5

Urethane applied to the new glass

A high-quality urethane bond is applied so the windscreen sits exactly as the factory intended. We tell you when your Jeep is safe to drive.

Fitted, checked and calibrated

The new windscreen is fitted and checked, and any camera behind the mirror is recalibrated where your Jeep needs it.

All glass we fit complies with the Australian Vehicle Standard for Safety Glazing.

How we source glass for your Jeep

Genuine Jeep glass is supplied as a Jeep part. OEM-equivalent aftermarket glass is an alternative supplied outside Jeep’s branded parts range. We can quote either option for your replacement windscreen. Tell us if you prefer genuine glass.

All glass we fit complies with the Australian Vehicle Standard for safety glazing. Our fitting is covered by a lifetime workmanship warranty.

A Jeep windscreen visit at your Sydney location

Our Sydney-wide mobile service brings Jeep windscreen replacement to your home, workplace or roadside location. We bring the glass selected for your vehicle to the place you choose.

A Jeep with a forward camera may need a calibration at our Warwick Farm workshop. We’ll confirm whether your appointment can take place entirely at your location or needs a workshop visit.

Insurance claims

What Sydney drivers say about MWT

Recent Google reviews from MWT customers across Sydney. Rated 4.8/5 from 370+ Google reviews.

Not only were MWT the most competitive in price, they were also the first to be able to repair my back windscreen. Thank you Andrew for reassuring me when I was a stress head and Aysar for doing a great job. Highly recommend.
Very professional work. Done me a massive favour no one else could do. Absolute legend, high recommond.
I highly recommend MWT (Mobile Windscreens & Tinting)! O’Brien had a waiting time of two weeks and you had to go in — but with these guys, I only waited one day and they came straight to me at my workplace!
