What changes across Scania truck windscreens

Scania’s modular truck cabs range from lower to taller layouts. The windscreen must suit your cab. We use your registration or VIN to confirm the exact part before our technician sets out.

For a Scania truck windscreen replacement, we check for a forward camera or rain sensor behind the glass so we can account for what is fitted. If your Scania windscreen has a small chip, we can often repair it without replacing the whole pane.

Before we arrive

Four Scania windscreen checks before we visit

We confirm the glass, fitted equipment and visit details for your truck.

  • Cab and glass

We identify your Scania cab and the windscreen variant that suits its height.

  • Camera and sensor

We check for a forward camera or rain sensor and plan camera recalibration with the replacement if your truck needs it.

  • Safety-glazing compliance

We check that the selected glass meets safety-glazing requirements.

  • Booking details

We confirm your rego or VIN, where the truck is parked and a day and time that suits your roster.

Scania truck models

How Scania cab ranges differ

We check your truck’s details before booking because cab height changes across the Scania range. That helps us select the glass for your vehicle.

  • Scania P Series

Its lower cab needs glass suited to a truck used for urban, distribution or construction work.

  • Scania G Series

Its mid-height cab needs glass suited to regional and construction work.

  • Scania R Series

Its long-haul cab has a tall windscreen that needs to match the cab.

  • Scania S Series

Its flat-floor long-haul cab is the tallest in the range, with glass to suit.

  • Another Scania truck?

We confirm the glass for any Scania truck from the rego or VIN.

Technician fitting a new windscreen to a truck cab

What sits behind a Scania windscreen?

Recent Scania trucks carry a forward camera behind the windscreen for lane-departure warning and emergency braking. Across the P Series, G Series, R Series and S Series, we check what is fitted to your truck. Many also have a rain sensor.

We refit any fitted camera or rain sensor when we replace the glass. If your truck needs camera recalibration, we plan it with the replacement.

STEP BY STEP

How a Scania truck windscreen replacement works

Broken glass on a truck seat before clean-up
STEP 1 of 5

We clear any broken glass from the cab

If a shattered screen has left glass inside your Scania, our technicians vacuum it out and protect the seats and trim before any work starts.

Truck cab with the damaged windscreen removed
STEP 2 of 5

We remove the damaged windscreen

The old glass comes out without damaging the cab's paint or interior trim.

If a toll tag is fitted to the old windscreen, we transfer it to the new one.

Technician removing old rubber seals before fitting new glass
STEP 3 of 5

New rubber seals every time

The old seals come off and new ones go on with every replacement, so the new windscreen is sealed against water, dust and wind noise.

Technician applying urethane before fitting new glass
STEP 4 of 5

The new glass is sealed in

The new windscreen is fitted the way the cab was built for and sealed properly. We tell you when your Scania is ready to go back on the road.

Fitted and checked

The new windscreen is fitted and checked, and any camera on the glass is recalibrated where your Scania needs it.

All glass we fit complies with the Australian Vehicle Standard for Safety Glazing.

Genuine and aftermarket glass for your Scania

Across Scania’s cab range, we match replacement glass to your truck. Genuine Scania glass is supplied as a Scania part. OEM-equivalent aftermarket glass is an alternative from another supplier. If you want genuine glass, tell us when you request your quote.

All glass we fit complies with the Australian Vehicle Standard for safety glazing. Our fitting is covered by a lifetime workmanship warranty.

Insurance claims

Claiming your Scania truck windscreen on insurance

If your policy or fleet cover includes windscreen cover, we can replace your Scania truck's windscreen as an insurance job. Tell us your insurer when you request a quote and we liaise with them on your behalf. Your excess and what is covered are as set out in your policy.

How windscreen claims work
  1. 1
    Check your cover

Look for windscreen or glass cover in your policy or product disclosure statement.

  2. 2
    Quote with your rego

Give us your Scania truck's rego or VIN and your insurer's name when you request the quote.

  3. 3
