What changes between Nissan windscreens

Nissan windscreens change with the grade and equipment fitted. The glass may need a mount for a Nissan Safety Shield ADAS camera, a rain-sensor fitting or acoustic glass. We use your registration or VIN to match the part before our technician comes out.

If you're looking for Nissan windscreen repair, we'll check the damage first. We can often repair a small chip without replacing the whole windscreen.

How we prepare your Nissan windscreen replacement

We check four parts of the job before we arrange the visit.

  • Glass variant

We check your Nissan's rain-sensor provision, camera bracket and any specified acoustic or solar glass.

  • Camera and sensor fitment

We check what sits behind the mirror and whether your replacement needs ADAS recalibration planned with the job.

  • Safety-glazing compliance

We check the replacement glass for safety-glazing compliance.

  • Booking details

We confirm your rego or VIN, where the vehicle is and a day and time that suits you.

Nissan models

A closer look at Nissan windscreen fitments

Your Nissan's build details help us select the glass and organise the visit. We check them with you before we book the job.

  • Nissan X-Trail

Recent X-Trail builds have a forward camera; higher grades can also have a rain sensor.

  • Nissan Navara

Recent Navara builds have a forward camera, while earlier work utes commonly use plain glass.

  • Nissan Qashqai

Most recent Qashqai builds have a forward camera and rain sensor behind the mirror.

  • Nissan Patrol

Recent Patrol builds have a forward camera in a large windscreen; earlier builds are usually plain glass.

  • Nissan Pathfinder

Higher-grade Pathfinder windscreens add acoustic glass alongside the forward camera and rain sensor.

  • Nissan Juke

Recent Juke builds have a forward camera mounted behind the mirror.

  • Another Nissan model?

We confirm the glass for any Nissan from the rego or VIN.

Nissan Safety Shield and ADAS camera recalibration

Nissan Safety Shield uses a forward camera behind the mirror on many recent models, including the X-Trail, Qashqai and Navara. When we replace a windscreen with a mounted camera, we confirm whether that model and build needs ADAS recalibration so its driver-assist system has the right view of the road.

Static calibration uses fixed targets while the vehicle is stationary. Dynamic calibration takes place while the vehicle is driven. We check which procedure applies to your Nissan and include any required recalibration in the job plan.

We remove any broken glass with care

If a shattered screen has left glass inside your Nissan, our technicians vacuum it out and protect the seats and trim before any work starts.

We remove the damaged windscreen

Modern tools lift the old glass out without damaging paint or interior trim.

If a toll tag is fitted to the old windscreen, we transfer it to the new one.

Technician removing the old rubber seals from a car
STEP 3 of 5

New rubber seals every time

The old seals come off and new ones go on with every replacement, so the new windscreen is sealed against water, dust and wind noise.

STEP 4 of 5

Urethane applied to the new glass

A high-quality urethane bond is applied so the windscreen sits exactly as the factory intended. We tell you when your Nissan is safe to drive.
