Why your Audi’s glass specification matters

Across the Audi range, windscreens differ with the equipment fitted. The mount for an Audi pre sense ADAS camera, rain and light sensor fittings, acoustic laminated glass and a head-up display can affect which part you need. We use your registration or VIN to identify the correct windscreen before our technician arrives.

If you are looking for Audi windscreen repair, we can often fix a small chip and keep the glass already fitted to your car.

What we confirm for an Audi replacement

We check the windscreen and fitted equipment, then agree on the visit details with you.

  • Glass variant

We check your Audi’s camera bracket and rain-sensor fitting, plus any acoustic or solar glass specification.

  • Camera and sensor fitment

We check the forward camera and sensors fitted to your Audi, then plan ADAS recalibration with the replacement where required.

  • Safety-glazing compliance

We check that the glass meets safety-glazing requirements for your Audi.

  • Booking details

We confirm your rego or VIN, where the car is parked, and a day and time that suits you.

Audi models

Audi models and the features behind the glass

We check your vehicle details before booking because camera, sensor and glass fitment can change across the range.

  • Audi A3

Recent A3 builds have a forward camera and a rain and light sensor behind the mirror.

  • Audi A4

Recent A4 builds have a forward camera and rain and light sensor; acoustic laminated glass is common.

  • Audi A5

Recent A5 builds share the A4’s forward camera and rain and light sensor fitment.

  • Audi Q2

Recent Q2 builds have a forward camera and a rain and light sensor behind the mirror.

  • Audi Q3

Recent Q3 builds carry a forward camera and a rain and light sensor behind the mirror.

  • Audi Q5

The Q5 has a forward camera and rain and light sensor; some grades need glass for a head-up display.

  • Audi Q7

The Q7 has a large windscreen with a forward camera and rain and light sensor; some grades have a head-up display.

  • Another Audi model?

We confirm the glass for any Audi from the rego or VIN.

Audi pre sense and ADAS camera recalibration

Audi pre sense uses a forward camera behind the mirror on many recent vehicles, including A3, Q3 and Q5 builds. When we replace a windscreen, the camera’s position can change. ADAS recalibration aligns it with the new glass so its driver-assist features can read the road correctly.

Static calibration uses a stationary vehicle and set targets. Dynamic calibration uses a drive under specified conditions. We confirm what your Audi’s model and build require and arrange the camera work as part of the replacement where needed.

STEP BY STEP

How a Audi windscreen replacement works

Broken glass on a car seat before clean-up
STEP 1 of 5

We remove any broken glass with care

If a shattered screen has left glass inside your Audi, our technicians vacuum it out and protect the seats and trim before any work starts.

Technicians removing a damaged car windscreen
STEP 2 of 5

We remove the damaged windscreen

Modern tools lift the old glass out without damaging paint or interior trim.

If a toll tag is fitted to the old windscreen, we transfer it to the new one.

Technician removing the old rubber seals from a car
STEP 3 of 5

New rubber seals every time

The old seals come off and new ones go on with every replacement, so the new windscreen is sealed against water, dust and wind noise.

STEP 4 of 5

Urethane applied to the new glass

A high-quality urethane bond is applied so the windscreen sits exactly as the factory intended. We tell you when your Audi is safe to drive.

Fitted, checked and calibrated

The new windscreen is fitted and checked, and any camera behind the mirror is recalibrated where your Audi needs it.

All glass we fit complies with the Australian Vehicle Standard for Safety Glazing.

Audi glass options and fitting cover

Acoustic laminated glass is common on recent Audi builds, and some grades need glass suited to a head-up display. Genuine glass is supplied as an Audi part. OEM-equivalent aftermarket glass is a separate option that we match to your car’s fittings and features. Tell us if you would like a quote for genuine glass.

All glass we fit complies with the Australian Vehicle Standard for safety glazing. Our fitting is covered by a lifetime workmanship warranty.

Audi windscreen visits: your place or our workshop

We replace Audi windscreens at homes, workplaces and roadside locations across Sydney, including cars with a camera and rain and light sensor behind the mirror. If you have a small chip, we can often repair it on site instead.

Some Audi pre sense ADAS camera recalibrations need our Warwick Farm workshop. We confirm whether your car needs a workshop visit before we book the job.

Just had Sal out to replace front windscreen on my 2016 Triton. Sal was timely and very meticulous at his job. Very happy with his work and would use MWT again.
We had a really positive experience with this company. They were on time, thorough and left everything clean. The technicians were Baz & Aysar. A real pleasure to have dealt with this company.
Andrew was able to fit my car into repairs at very short notice after a rock rearranged my windscreen. We used these guys 3 times now and they've always been fast and reliable.
